Multitasking at the Bergen Academy of Art & Design
Fall 2011 I was teaching InDesign in the first year's typography course and Illustrator in the second year's book design course. Spring 2012 I put together the seminar Substans: Designing Human Interaction, along with MA-koordinator Åse Huus (dreamteam; top picture). We had so much fun! The guest speakers were Vinay Venkatraman from Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, Jenny Pfau from Cradle to Cradle EPEA and Hoon Kim from Why Not Smile design studio in New York.

Motivate, help see possibilities, inspire engagement. The pictures at the bottom are from a one-week introduction course where me and Professor Petter Bergerud took the first-year students from both Room/ Furniture and Visual Communication out to the wilderness where they were to explore the theme "contemplation" with their own curious and creative minds. I held a creativity workshop at the beginning of the course, emphasizing the importance of playing seriously, and also teaching some tools on how to start a process by research and association.
